Kayley grew up in Langley, BC, and attended the University of the Fraser Valley where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2020. Kayley then moved to Kamloops and went into law school at Thompson Rivers University, graduating in 2023. During her time at TRU, she made it onto the deans list and obtained course prizes in employment law and clinical practice. She spent a semester with the TRU Community Legal Clinic where she assisted low-income and marginalized members of the Kamloops community with their legal issues.

Kayley first joined Morelli Chertkow for her second-year summer in 2022, and remained with the firm for her articles, which she completed in 2024. Kayley is excited to have been called to the bar and is looking forward to the next chapter at Morelli Chertkow.

Throughout her time in Kamloops, Kayley has given back to the community and her peers. She served as a student clinician with the TRU Community Legal Clinic. She served as the Vice President of the First Generation Network TRU Chapter, an organization which aims to reduce barriers that impact first-generation law students and their success in the legal field. She also served as the Co-Head of Mentorship for the National Chapter of the First Generation Network, and paired students with mentors in the legal field throughout Canada. Currently, Kayley serves as the Treasurer for the Kamloops and District Elizabeth Fry Society.

In her free time, Kayley enjoys camping, travelling, gardening, and cooking.
