Clayton was born in Ontario, but he grew up in Athens, Georgia, USA and then moved to British Columbia for his post-secondary education. He attended Douglas College and Simon Fraser University for his associate and bachelor’s degrees. Clayton then attended law school at the University of Victoria.
Clayton moved to Kamloops after graduating from law school and worked for an international construction firm, working primarily in the areas of contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, licensing, and dispute resolution. In 2022, Clayton accepted an articled student position at Morelli Chertkow and was called to the British Columbia Bar in August 2023.
Clayton has a general litigation practice divided between family, construction, property disputes, and personal injury.
In his free time, Clayton enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, golfing, and alpine sports.
