Katherine was born and raised in Ecuador, and brings an international legal background to her practice.
Katherine obtained her law degree from the Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil in 2015 and later earned an LL.M. in International Business Law from Université Catholique de Lyon in France. Prior to moving to Canada, she practised law in Ecuador for over four years, where she represented trust companies and worked as in-house counsel for the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development. In that role, she advised on regulatory compliance, administrative law matters, contractual issues, and public sector governance.
After moving to Canada, Katherine completed the Canadian law courses at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, earning a Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. She joined Morelli Chertkow LLP in 2022 as a Litigation Legal Assistant, completed her articles, and was called to the Bar in December 2025.
Katherine is an executive member of the Women Lawyers Forum (WLF), Kamloops Section, and offers legal services in both English and Spanish.
Outside of her practice, Katherine enjoys travelling and seeking out new experiences.
